Dental crowns
A crown covers and protects a tooth that's cracked, heavily filled or weakened after a root canal. Our office has a digital scanner and an in-office mill, so many crowns are designed and made right here. Ask whether yours can be done in one visit.

What to expect
- Prepare the toothThe tooth is numbed, any decay is removed and the tooth is shaped.
- Digital scanA 3D scan replaces most messy impressions.
- Design and makeThe crown is designed and milled from a solid block of tooth-colored ceramic.
- Bond it in placeThe fit and bite are checked and the crown is bonded to your tooth.

How long do crowns last?
Often ten to fifteen years or more, with good care.
