Implant-supported dentures

A denture that snaps onto two or more implants. It stays put when you eat and talk, and you remove it at night to clean it.

Is it right for you?

  • Your lower denture floats or slips
  • You'd like more stability without a fully fixed bridge
  • You want to keep using a removable denture you can take out to clean

What to expect

  1. ConsultationAn exam and x-rays to see how much bone you have and where implants can go.
  2. Implant placementUsually two to four implants are placed in the jaw.
  3. HealingYou keep wearing your denture, adjusted to fit, while the implants bond with the bone.
  4. Attach the dentureSmall attachments are added to a new or existing denture so it snaps onto the implants.

Our dentists are general dentists who provide this treatment in our office. Treatment recommendations follow an exam.

Common questions

Can my current denture be used?

Sometimes. If it fits well and is in good shape, attachments can be added to it. Otherwise we make a new one.

How is this different from All-on-X?

An implant-supported denture snaps on and off for cleaning. All-on-X is fixed in place. Learn about All-on-X
